TASC Force News
A Work in Process
When it comes to team building, General Manager Mike Eller takes it quite literally. His Pearland TASC Force team is helping to build the house shown below. Six days prior to the photo, there was only a cement slab in place. At this point, Mike reports that “the house is prepped for brick, the electrical is wired but no plugs yet, the plumbing is in. The roof looks great (funded by our BJ’s Foundation) and we are trying to schedule a TASC Force team for the painting in three weeks. We will be helping on the insulating and the dry wall next week.”

Habitat for Humanity has become our “go to” for TASC Force events across the country. My thanks to Jeff Sage and Bill Franks of BJ’s Woodland Hills for this story:

Aurora Team Members Support Habitat for Humanity
Neither rain nor hail nor threat of a tornado prevented Manager Mike Bierman and his Aurora TASC Force team from supporting Habitat for Humanity. Here is Mike’s story:
I was trying to coordinate a new TASC Force Event for my new restaurant in Aurora, CO and Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver called and needed some help for its very large townhome project. Hundreds of volunteers from around the country consisting of Job Corps, College Students, Corporations, and local volunteers are working everyday to complete this massive project.
