TASC Force News
A Work in Process
When it comes to team building, General Manager Mike Eller takes it quite literally. His Pearland TASC Force team is helping to build the house shown below. Six days prior to the photo, there was only a cement slab in place. At this point, Mike reports that “the house is prepped for brick, the electrical is wired but no plugs yet, the plumbing is in. The roof looks great (funded by our BJ’s Foundation) and we are trying to schedule a TASC Force team for the painting in three weeks. We will be helping on the insulating and the dry wall next week.”
This is a joint project between “I Can Impact”, a local Pearland, Texas organization and Habitat for Humanity. Mike reports that 6 to 12 BJ’s TASC Force team members worked for three days and were joined each day by others from the Pearland community for a total of 20 volunteers working each day. Mike says, “It's amazing what people can accomplish with hard work and community involvement.”
