The BJ's Restaurants Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to support charities benefiting children's healthcare and education, with primary focus on the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. In addition, our Foundation recognizes and rewards the volunteer efforts of BJ's Restaurants team members across the country as they help to give back to the communities in which our restaurants do business.
Charitable Contributions from New Restaurant Openings Guests from nearby communities are invited to enjoy the BJ's dining experience a few days prior to the opening of our new restaurants. This gives our newly-trained teams the chance to put their final touches on proper food preparation and service. Thanks entirely to the generosity of the guests attending these pre-opening parties, we're very proud to have made significant contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation from our new restaurant openings in:
- Pinellas Park, Tampa, Florida.
- Polaris Mall, Columbus, Ohio.
- Millenia Mall, Orlando, Florida.
- Palmdale, California.
- Norman, Oklahoma.
- Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
- Citrus Park, Florida.
- McAllen, Texas.
- Stockton, California.
- Temple, Texas.
- Montebello, California.
- Glendale, California.
- Austin, Texas.

Fundraising Events The major fundraising event directly benefiting the Foundation is a yearly charity golf tournament. All proceeds from the tournament go to the Foundation which then disperses funds throughout the year to designated charities defined by our mission statement. This year's tournament will take place on Monday, June 2nd at Dove Canyon Country Club. Please contact the foundation if you are interested in participating. Volunteerism
Throughout the country, and as opportunities arise, the Foundation supports and rewards the community volunteer efforts of our restaurant team members with our Team Action to Support Communities (TASC Force) program. - This year, BJ's has volunteered for the Orange County Marathon and next month our Bakersfield restaurant will host a community blood drive and participate in a graffiti clean-up program, while our Rancho Cucamonga restaurant will send a group of volunteers to support Habitat for Humanity. Many more BJ's TASC Force programs are scheduled for 2008 and will be reported here.
Cookies 4 Kids
Having raised millions of dollars through the years, the Cookies 4 Kids program donates a portion of all Pizookie dessert sales to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The signature Pizookie is a freshly baked, hot-out-of-the-oven cookie (chocolate chunk, white chocolate macadamia nut, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter or Oreo cookie) which is topped with two scoops of vanilla bean ice cream and served hot, and cold, to the table. It has become a favorite for thousands of BJ's guests and a wonderful fundraising campaign for our charity.
